Algebra 1 Finals

Chapters 1-8 (include 9 for accelerated)
About Your Final
  • If you are in 8th grade, it will count as a test grade in quarter 4.

  • If you are in 9th grade, it will count as its own separate grade on your report card.

  • You can use your graphing calculator on the final test, but no notes. The calculator that we recommend is a TI-84. Other graphing calculators can be used, but the TI-84 is the calculator that we learn how to use in class.

  • We will spend time studying and preparing for it in class, but this study guide packet will be more meaningful if you look over it and do some problems on your own. This study guide packet is not a grade, it is a tool to help you study.

  • The Ultimate Study Guide packet is large, but it shows everything you have learned this year and is something you should be proud of.

    • The Finals Practice Test is a good way to test what you know and don't know before going back and studying each section.

  • Other than Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 is your first “big” math course where everything you learn is cumulative. If you don’t know how to complete the problems in this packet, now is the time to pause and re-learn.

  • Please use my website as your first tool for help. You can find resources on each chapter’s section or on the Mid-Term/Finals tab.

  • I am available before or after school when you need my help. Please email me to set up a time.

  • The work and answers to this packet will be available on my website under the Finals tab. Please use the answers as a tool for learning.

  • While working on this you can refer to your notes or textbook for directions on how to complete the problems. Our notes come from the textbook so if your notes do not help you, look at how the examples were done in the textbook.

    • Chapter 1: Pg. 3-70, Chapter 2: Pg. 73-148, Chapter 3: Pg. 151-210, Chapter 4: Pg. 213-280, Chapter 5: Pg. 285-331, Chapter 6: Pg. 335-387, Chap 7 (Only 7.1-7.4): Pg.391-421; 452-453, Chapter 8: Pg. 465-539, (Accelerated class includes Chapter 9: 9.1-9.5 543-589; 608-610)

  • Grab some scrap paper and work through these problems at least for a little bit of time every day preparing for this test to make it easier on yourself.
