Mid Chapter 1 Test Study Guide List
1.1-1.4
Use the resources listed here to help you study. You do not need to turn in any of these assignments.
Pick and choose what you need to use to help you study!
Note for lessons 1.3: The properties you need to know by name are: commutative property, associative property, and multiplicative inverse. (Know the difference between commutative and associative although they might seem similar.)
Study Tools:
1. Use your two mini quizzes to study from.
#2-6 are worksheets with answers are on my website
2. Combining Like Terms
3. Distributive Property
4. Evaluating Expressions
5. Writing Algebraic and Verbal Expressions
6. Order of Operations
7. Practice Test in your Textbook on pg. 32
#8-11 are on the textbook’s website. You will need your textbook username and password to access them.
8. Self Check Quiz on Lesson 1.1
9. Self Check Quiz on Lesson 1.2
10. Self Check Quiz on Lesson 1.3
11. Self Check Quiz on Lesson 1.4
12. Use any other clickable resources that are added to my website under each section in 1.1-1.4. IXL links are a great practice, however they do not come from our textbook so I wouldn’t only study from the IXL practices to make sure you study everything we learned.

Multi-Step Equations Partner Problems
CHAPTER 1 & 2
Work with 1 other person.
One person does the questions on the left, the other person does the questions on the right column of the sheet.
You have different questions, but your answers will be the same for each problem number. If you get the same answers you know you did it right. If you get different answers, analyze each other's work until you both get the same number for the answer.
Activity takes about 20 minutes.
One-Step, Two-Step Equations Worksheet (The one with boxes)
CHAPTER 1 & 2
This worksheet summarizes different types of equations we learned to solve in chapters 1 and 2.
Do this independently, but ask other people for help when you need it.
Be sure to check your answers!
This review takes about 10-20 minutes
Equation Maze
CHAPTER 1 & 2
Solve the equation in the box that says "start"
Look to see if the answer you got is one of the ones branching off that box. If it is, circle that answer and go to the next box it leads you to.
You are finished when you get to the "end" box. Not all boxes will be used.
Check your answers when you are done!
This activity takes about 10-20 minutes.
Stations Maze
CHAPTER 1 & 2
Start at a station, copy down what station number you started at.
Do the question and look for the answer in the choices. The answer tells you what station to go to next.
Repeat this process by doing the questions and going to the stations it tells you to until you are back where you started at. You will go through 10 stations.
Be sure to copy down the station numbers you go to so you can check your answers at the end to see if you did them in the right order.
